The ShenTech sponsor, Shenzhen InnoX Academy (InnoX), is among the high-profile institutions in partnership with KAUST. InnoX founder Dr. Zexiang Li is faculty in the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Narwal is a unicorn startup that produces auto-detect robotic sweepers and mops for homes and businesses. Since its inception in 2016, the company has steadily risen in value to now command approximately 15.00% of China’s robot vacuum cleaner market.
ShenTech Bootcamp — FAQs
Early-stage founders with hardware, robotics or smart devices solutions are strongly encouraged to apply!
The ShenTech Bootcamp in Shenzhen, China is a free program that KAUST is offering to participants. Hotel accommodations, travel fare, training fees, tours and meals are included in the cost. Individuals should bring spending money for souvenirs, personal items and outings.
Logistics for the 11-day bootcamp curriculum are being planned by KAUST in coordination with Shenzhen InnoX Academy, our program partner. Accepted participants will be contacted by a KAUST representative with the timeline details and other pertinent information.
Departure from Saudi Arabia to China is slated for either June 28 or 29, 2025. The Final booking will be confirmed based on ticket availability and will be communicated by June.
Please ensure that your passport is valid for at least one year and that you are available to travel during the program dates. KAUST will assist accepted participants with the visa application process for China.
